another mellow summer

It has been a while since I had last participated in test shooting. Mostly involved in some private events, including one where I got to see David Tao in person hahahaha! I’m not a fan so I wasn’t screaming or anything; I had gone out of the venue innocently to thaw myself (it was FREEZING) and there he was, standing there waiting to be picked up after his performance. Thought that was funny!

Completed also a job for Blackberry, but it is corporate, so no photos to share! I got jokingly chided for using my iPhone in a Blackberry office- so I told them they could give me one :P I’m waaaaiting, BB! I want to see if you are as good as you claim to be :D Will continue to be involved in more private work so, well, I’ll keep you guys posted! See you!

I have officially graduated from The Make Up Room’s Diploma of Make Up and Hair Artistry as of 11 Decmber 2010, and it was yesterday that we received our results for our theory and practical examinations. Really happy to let everyone know that not only did I not fail anything but I also graduated at the top of my class. Thank you to those who have supported me even when it was considered ridiculous for me to even want to be a professional make up artist, to those who have lent me their faces to practice on, and also to those who did not believe in me (take that!).

In other news, I recorded and posted a video to Youtube some days back about attending the recent MAC Masterclass for S/S ’11 make up trends, and also about some new skincare and make up that I have bought :)

some pretty exciting news

I am still here!!! Just busy and almost up to my eyeballs in make up/related things. But most importantly I’d like to formally announce the launch of this ‘baby’ that’s been bakin’ in the oven:

New mag on the block! And I’ve been involved in every single editorial that graces the pages of this mag (editorials, not adverts lol I got people who’ve asked if I did the ads too…. no…? Heh heh.) But yeah I’m so, so lucky to be involved in the creation of this inaugural issue. I’d like to give a shout out to all friends and family who have supported my make up work, as well as just let it be known that I am thankful for all the opportunities that I’ve had so far. Thanks also to Tony the hair guy for bringing me on to this project, to Kenneth and everyone else in the team!

You should be able to find MINTS in major bookstores, I know Kinokuniya stocks them! There’s even a gift with the buy! Please support :D

I bought some things for my kit today!!! In addition to a parcel that arrived from the US containing HD foundation (woooo…) and concealer that I will be running more tests on to see if I like them, I went shopping…. Make up is so expensive >_<
